1932.178: Study for the Portrait of Mme Moitessier; verso: Study of a Figure for "Christ Among the Doctors"
DrawingsThe drawing in black chalk on white paper depicts a woman from the waist up, her left arm cropped by the edge of the paper. She leans against a cushion propped under her right arm, and her right hand rests on her right cheek, with her index finger in her pulled-back hair. She wears a short-sleeved dress with a V-shaped neckline. In the upper left of the image is a less detailed drawing of the same woman, depicting the hand positioned differently on the woman’s cheek.
