A drawing of a man standing in formalwear in a plaza.

The drawing in graphite on white paper depicts a man with curly hair standing in profile facing page right, his gaze turned to the viewer. He wears a greatcoat over a frock and shirt with upturned collar. His right hand rests in a pocket at his waist, and his left hand hangs by his hip. He stands beside a stone railing upon which rests a tophat turned on its crown at page right. Behind the hat is a stairwell and a tall obelisk. Behind the man on page left is a wall broken by an arched entryway. Above the wall two domed towers are visible. There is written script at the bottom right of the page.
