1955.2: Portrait of Woman, after Anthony van Dyck
DrawingsLight graphite lines on off white paper depict a woman who stands at center, looking at the viewer with raised eyebrows and a half smile. Her hair is cropped short over her forehead and curls out at the sides and she wears a pearl necklace. The front of her dress is cut low with a wide lacy collar, puffed sleeves and frilly cuffs. The dress reaches the floor, covering her feet. She holds her right hand at her stomach and her left hand low in front of her. Bulky curtains can be seen hanging behind her.
