Portrait of a bearded man sitting with his arms crossed over his chest. His collared, buttoned coat is dark with a white cuff peeking out of the sleeve, suggesting the man is wearing a white undershirt. The man’s white and grey beard is unruly, rather than tidy, and his similarly styled hair peeks out from a tall bowler hat featuring a rounded top and upturned rim. The man looks down to his right, his face emotionless if not somewhat dejected.
