A curved black clay stand and tapered base

A black terracotta stand has a wide, flat, circular base with a shallow ridge around its side. From the base, its stem tapers inward, rising to support a rectangular platform that curves up at each side, forming a U-shaped profile. On its under side, the platform has a ridge around its four edges, bordered inside by a shallow, indented channel. The surface over all is polished to dull sheen, and small pits are found throughout.
