Continuous vine scroll forms a series of figure-eights. Foliage springs from above and below points of intersection of vine tendrils. The almond-shaped loops of the scroll form frames, within which are back-to-back acanthus leaves and fruit clusters. Frieze bordered at bottom edge by a fillet in two facets, the upper narrower than the lower. Publication History "Pagan and Christian Egypt: Egyptian Art from the First to the Tenth Century A.D."
