Descriptions Description End or corner section of an architectural frieze, decorated in relatively deep, naturalistic relief. Continuous acanthus scroll issues from corner of block. Loops formed by the dramatic curve of the acanthus leaves are filled with cones, grape clusters, or other vegetation. Traces of a painted plaster coating remain.
