A beach landscape, featuring a steep dune on the right that is covered in trees. The dune drops off towards the flat ocean in the background. The dune slopes down on the left to a flat beach area, where the whiter sand against the darker sand creates a bold "x shape" in the middle ground. In the foreground there is beach grass and a barbed wire that cuts across the photograph, which is out of focus.
