A black and white print shows a group of men inside a building worshipping a baby.

A woman with long, fair hair sits on a cushion, which is placed on the floor of a stone room, and holds a baby on her lap. He is naked and stands on her legs to touch the container filled with coins that is held in front of him by a kneeling man. The man wears a voluminous robe, faces the child, and has his back to the rest of the onlookers. Behind him are two men holding closed containers, and they also wear large and fur-lined robes. The man to the left is of African descent. The man to the right passes his hat to another man standing next to him, who wears a crown of leaves on his head, a quiver around his chest, and no shoes on his feet. Behind them, in the room and spilling outside, is a large crowd of men who wear plumed hats and turbans. In the lefthand corner of the scene, a man strides forward into the room and holds his round hat in front of him.
