A black and white print portrays a group of men on horseback killing a lion.

In the center of this black and white print, four men on horseback are grouped closely together. The two horses on the right are facing backward, and the two on the left are facing forward. All four men wear turbans and brandish long spears. A lion has jumped on the back of the horse in the middle, and grabs the rider with his two front paws. Three of the men’s spears are about to puncture the lion’s back. There are several more men on horseback in the background. Palm trees fill the sides and background of the landscape. Below the image is an inscription. Surrounding the image is an elaborate decorative frame, filled with clusters of fruit, men on pedestals holding staffs, dogs, antelope, goats, camels, lions, and masks in the shape of men’s faces.
