M4281: Yvette Guilbert
PrintsAn illustration and a block of text are both printed in olive green on cream colored paper. The text is indented mostly to the right, with lines at the bottom shifting leftward. The lightly sketched drawing shows a woman in profile wearing an evening gown and long gloves. The dress is cut low and she stretches her long neck forward. She has a bulbous nose over a down-turned mouth, and appears to be waiting in front of a curtain which hasn’t opened. To the left, in shadow, a man reaches up to pull on a rope.
