M12461: Yvette Guilbert: Taking a Bow
PrintsSeen from the wings, a woman on a stage kneels on one knee and looks out over an audience in a theater. She wears a floor-length evening gown with long ruffled shoulders and a low cut back. With arm length gloves, she holds her left arm at her side and with her right, reaches upward and clutches the curtain to her right. Dark shading indicates the crowd who is mostly indistinct except for a man in a suit in the front row. A balcony seating more spectators can be seen above.
