M12455: Yvette Guilbert: In the Thick of It
PrintsOn a cream colored paper, a network of thin gray lines and softly textured shading depict a woman in an evening gown. Shown from the waist up, she is facing the viewer, tilting her head to the right and back slightly, with half closed eyes and raised eyebrows. Her face is lit from below and her long thin neck emerges from a low cut dress. She holds her right arm at her side and her left stretches straight out. Beyond her at lower right we see the faint outline of the heads of a group of figures.
