M21077: Arrest of Christ
PrintsNight scene of a group of soldiers and men moving towards the left, leafy trees overhead. Many carry upraised spears. A Roman solider in front on the left is in shadow as he grabs a barefoot man by the neck (Christ). Someone behind him carries a torch that dramatically lights the scene. Another soldier holds an upraised rope behind Christ’s head. In the lower right an older bearded man raises his arm with a sword, holding it over a man on the ground who’s left hand tries to hold him back, while his other hand holds a light.
