M20447: Hercules Holding a Club
PrintsA nude, muscular man stands on a square platform on a low round pedestal. In his right hand, with his right wrist bent outward, he holds a large, knobbly club. He holds three balls in his left hand. His hips are shifted back and to the left, with his weight on his left leg. The pedestal he stands on is decorated with carvings of clubs, leaves, and a pot. The wall behind his is shaded with tiny dots. Areas of shadow are shaded with cross-hatching.
