Descriptions Description Made of six seamed widths of the ground fabric; "rug" pattern with two stylized floral borders; in the centre is a lion rampant within a medallion with two domestic cats at his feet; within the field are curving floral vines in which are a variety of small and large birds, including a pheasant and a highly-stylized peacock (looking more like a phoenix); polychrome silk embroidery (primarily couching) on shaded satin ground; applied cord; plain-woven linen backing.
