Descriptions Description Straight-sided oval, bright-cut engraved with bands of stylised foliage and each side with a shield-shaped cartouche, one engraved with a crest and script initials NS, the hinged domed cover with conforming decoration and stained ivory pineapple finial, with tapering spout and wood loop handle; the oval stand with wrigglework borders, raised on four part-fluted shaped feet, with conforming decoration and the same crest Publication History Christopher Hartop, British and Irish Silver in the Fogg Art Museum, Harvard University Art Museums/Yale University Press (Cambridge, Mass. and New Haven, 2007), pp. 212-213, repr. in b/w as Fig. 232 on p. 212.
