    Weiss-Schwarz-Stufung = ergibt das Räumlich-näher bei Weiss, das Räumlich-Ferner bei Schawrz. Im Gegensatz hierzu (zur Raumbewegung) ist Gelb (als aggressiv, aus der Fläche/heraus-tretend) hinter das Schwarz gesetzt,—und Blau (als passiv, in die Tiefe führend) auf das eiß verworfen.

    Resultat: das Blau drückt das Weiss der grau Stufung zuruck und das gelbe Feld hebt das Schwarz heraus.




    English translation:

    White-Black Scale = show the spatial advance of white, the spatial recession of black. Contrary to this (the spatial movement) is yellow (as aggressive, advancing from the surface) put underneath black,—and blue (as passive, tending toward depth) covering the white. Result: The blue pushes the white of the greyscale back and the yellow field raises the black up.l.c., graphite, handwritten, in artist's hand
