Descriptions Description This ewer, with its fluted body and wide shoulder, has a shape characteristic of the wares of Ghurid Herat. The missing handle would have been attached near the top of the neck and in the center of the body. Benedictory inscriptions in naskh script can be seen on the shoulder and in two bands on the fluted body. The silver inlay gives great emphasis to the inscriptions and to the arabesque and crescent decorative motifs. (Notes from Glory and Prosperity exhibition, February - June 2002.)
