Descriptions

Description
This tapestry represents two elegantly dressed women in a landscape. It appears that the tapestry was cut down. It is therefore hard to identify the subject. Like the other tapestries in the Ovid series, this work has a border with flower garlands interspersed with cartouches. It shows a landscape typical of Oudenaarde tapestry production in the second half of the 17th century.
