Descriptions Description Panel, possibly from a cope orphrey, depicting the Virgin or a nun saint wearing a crown of thorns and holding a representation of the Sacred Heart, with a strapwork frame. The techniques used are appliqué, "or nué", and embroidery using split, whip and satin stitches. On plain weave linen support and a second support of green cut silk velvet.
