M23796: Shooting Stars
PrintsTwo caricatured figures are described by thin black lines and dark stippled shading. A woman and a man facing each other lean against a railing on a rooftop in a city at night. At left, the delicate looking woman in a high collared long sleeved dress has her left arm behind him and around his shoulder as she caresses his chest with her right, bowing her head and eyeing him with a smile. The man, brawny and thickly built with a jutting chin, tilts back his head, noticing the streak of light in the sky with a wide-eyed expression.
