M23797: The Old Flirts
PrintsDark and light sketched lines and shaded areas depict two figures on cream colored paper. A heavy set man, white haired and balding on top, in a dark formal overcoat, embraces a woman from behind. He reaches under her armpits holding her close in front. The woman leans forward, smiling and looking ahead, wearing a long dress with large shoulders and long sleeves. They stand beside a settee. Across the top at center is printed text in French, including the title, “LES VIEUX PAPILLONS”. More text is printed at bottom center.
