A Japanese woman in a bent dance pose gracefully thrusts forward a long white peony stem.

The woman’s left arm is raised as she points the flower stem, her right foot is raised up forward. She faces left, her right arm is hand on hip behind her back creating a diagonal movement. Her face is fair, no makeup, long straight red hair flows from a full bloom peony-flowered cap. She’s wearing several layers of kimono of various patterns, shades of pinks and greens that flow and accentuate her movement. There’s Japanese text, seals, and artist signature in the upper right corner and lower left. The background is an undescribed warm tone.
