418 Eagle-headed Griffin
Faintly translucent, mottled light brown and gray jade. The surfaces are plain and the piece is apparently unfinished. The slender body ends in a pointed hook. The figure is provided with wings; forelegs and hindlegs are drawn tightly toward the body. The aquiline head has a small perforation that reads as an eye. Late Eastern Chou.
