Figure of a bird seen from above, carved of translucent greenish jade with decomposed, cream-colored specks; traces of cinnabar. The various parts are indicated by grooved lines. Plain back, except for two grooves near the tips of the wings. Perforation at the beak. Shang or Western Chou.
