Catalogue entry no. 444 by Max Loehr:
444 Slender Dragon-Griffin
Translucent, cream-colored, slightly calcified jade plaque, fashioned into a narrow, elongated dragon figure with short wings. The tightly drawn back lowered head and the perpendicular, anomalous position of the legs result in a curiously constrained appearance. Details worked out in low relief; incised patters include chevrons, striations, concentric curves and, at the tail, cross-hatched commas. Both side identical. Later Eastern Chou.
