20 Two Miniature Notched Axes
Asymmetrically cut, thin blades of strongly calcified, partly decomposed jade, whose original color shows in an olive-brown streak on one of them. Although the blades are dissimilar in size and shape, both are decorated with lateral notches and perforated below the neck. Cinnabar and earth adhere to both pieces. Late Shang or early Western Chou.
