468 Large Belt Hook
Opaque, bone-colored stone, which as decomposed in part, forming chinks and cavities. The sturdy, curved body is squarish in cross-section. On the underside, its edges are beveled from the button toward the hook. The button, flush with the sides, is rectangular. The hook proper represents a severely simplified animal head with marginal ridges on top. On the upper side, the objects is decorated with a longitudinal convex ridge flanked by hollow-ground ledges. Three angular transverse channels interrupt the longitudinal pattern. Late Eastern Chou.
