Catalogue entry no. 481 by Max Loehr:
481 Huang, Segment with Plastic Curls
Greenish brown, much calcified jade. The segment forms an arc of about 110 degrees and is covered on both sides with a dense array of individually and diversely shaped plastic spirals whose placement is not determined by a grid pattern. At each end there appears a larger spiral that may suggest the mouth of a zoomorphic head such as seen in No. 482. The outline of the ends and of the adjoining upper and lower edges is crenelated. There is a single, small drill-hole in the middle. Late Eastern Chou.
