Catalogue entry no. 389 by Max Loehr:

389 Disk with Pattern of Plastic Curls
Similar to Nos. 385, 386, 387, 388 in workmanship, but of an entirely distinct variety of jade. The jade is buff and opaque, with darker, brown markings and a small area of green. Its surface still retains the original gloss, except for a calcified area on one side that has become dull. The curls, carved with exquisite care, are smaller than usual. There is an incised inscription on the outer edge: Chi, pai san-shih-san, “Chi [a cylindrical sign, corresponding to the sixth of the ten celestial stems], one hundred and thirty-three.” Late Eastern Chou.
