95 Segment of a Large Disk
This plain, somewhat unevenly worked segment forms an arc of approximately 140 degrees. It is made of an opaque brownish gray stone that encloses a large, almost straight-sided area of translucent bluish green jade with whitish clouds. Near either end, the segment is perforated conically from the upper side. The outermost corners are battered. The surfaces were finished to a matt polish. Shang or Western Chou.
