466 Belt Hook
Evenly light brown and cream-colored, partly calcified jade with a glossy polish. The strong, slender body is decorated with plastic curls on the upper face, and with engraved S -curves and cross-hatched ovals in rectangular frames separated by vertical grooves on the lateral faces. The hook is shaped as an animal’s head composed of rather angular forms executed in sharply beveled cuts. Two slender horns appear as marginal ridges at the top. Round stud with rounded-off rectangular button at the back. Late Eastern Chou.
