264 Pair of Bird Figures
Opaque buff jade plaques with races of cinnabar. The silhouettes of these much conventionalized figures are compressed into rectangles. A minimum of cutting went into defining the outlines and the interior design. A tiny hole is drilled at the breast of each bird. Later Western Chou(?).
