283 Pair of Fish Silhouettes
Light bluish gray translucent jade. The fish are widest at the mouth. Their gills curve forward, leaving an undefined foot-shaped area below these gills and in front of the pectoral fin. That there is only one pectoral fin is an exceptional feature, shared by none of the other specimens in this collection. The tail fins, pointed, flaring, and strongly aslant, are beveled so as to form knife-like edges. The mouths are perforated. Western Chou(?).
