A number of the drawings in this album were given to Murray (a Scottish landscape painter and Royal Academician, 1849-1933) by Sargent. Murray lived at 1A Langham Chambers, Portland Place, London.

Description
The sketch was made on Royal Academy letterhead; in red, it is printed "Royal Academy of Arts / London, W. / 190__" The side that is folded in is more finished and thus was considered during cataloguing to be the recto.
