On the side of the coin on the left is the head of a woman facing right, wearing a necklace, five pendant earring, with hair tied up and held in place with wreath made from grain stalks. The other side of the coin depicts a man naked except for a hat and cloak moving to the left, a staff with two snakes in his right hand, a small infant in his left. The infant's right arm is placed on the man's shoulder, both heads are turned to face each other. Along the right side of the coin, the Greek characters: ΦΕΝΕΩΝ.
