Description
Large jar of slightly compressed globular form with broad shoulders, wide body, and lower portion gently tapering inward to a small flat base; lightly burnished dark gray earthenware.
Commentary
Compare to:
Earthenware jar of closely related form excavated from a late Western Han to early Eastern Han period tomb in Nanyang, Henan province. See Wenwu [Cultural Relics] 3 (1984): 29, fig. 11.
