Description
Obv.: Quadriga l., driven by male charioteer holding long crop; above, Nike flying r. to crown the charioteer; in exergue, on stepped base, panoply, consisting of cuirass, shield, greaves and helmet; on the lower step, [ATHLA]; border of fine dots.
Rev. of 1.1965.918, but recut. SYRAKOSION; head of Arethusa l.; around, four dolphins; scallop shell to r. here covered with additional curls and below, griffin's head. Border of fine dots.
