Description
Tall jar of elongated ovoid form with constricted neck and slightly flared mouth, the sides tapering inward to a flat base; medium gray earthenware with impressed decoration.
Commentary
Compare to:
Jar of similar form with different decorative pattern dated to the mid-Warring States period (4th century BCE) excavated in 1996-97 from an Eastern Zhou (771-221 BCE) tomb at a weaving factory in Luoyang, Henan province. See Wenwu [Cultural Relics] 12 (2001): 57, fig. 45.
