On the side of the coin on the left is the bust of a man facing right, with short cropped hair and beard, wearing a laurel wreath; surrounding the border, the Latin characters: I M P / M A X I M I A N V S / P / F / A V G. The other side of the coin depicts a man standing facing left, nude except for a cloak around shoulders, wearing a flat-topped cylindrical headdress, holding a bowl in right hand, a horn shaped vessel in the left; surrounding the border, the Latin characters: G E N I O / P O P V / L I / R O M A N I - A Q / P.
