2024.81: Woman in Sixteenth-Century Costume
DrawingsA woman faces away from the viewer with her right hand raised and pointer finger extended. She is wearing a dress with a feathered hat and her hair is pulled up. The dress is long with a tapered waist and voluminous, striped skirt. Light fabric flows from the sleeves midway down the skirt where the stripes begin. The dress features a high neck with ruffles that extend across the top. The hat sits atop the woman’s head with a large feather protruding from the left side.
