Descriptions Description Ovoid vessel with two pierced lug handles on the shoulder, sides widening from the flat rim to a full lower body, supported on a short circular pedestal foot; light gray earthenware with cord-impressed decoration applied diagonally on the upper body and vertically combed horizontal bands above the foot. Commentary Compare to: Shang dynasty white earthenware vessel of similar form but with smaller lug handles and carved geometric decoration excavated from Anyang, Henan province.
