Gray-toned hanging scroll with painting of mountains, trees, and buildings

This tall, narrow hanging scroll features dark ink on silvery gray paper. It depicts a path ascending up a tall, craggy mountain. The mountain is lined with evergreen trees and shrubbery. Small wooden house-like structures stand around the base of the mountain. Animals graze outside one building at foreground left. More structures appear to occupy some higher-elevation areas as well, but the large scale of the landscape makes it hard to see their detail. More tall, narrow peaks appear in the background in lighter pigment.
