Descriptions Description Small round cup supported on an elongated, flared hollow stem that widens at the base; white earthenware. Dawenkou culture. From the middle and lower Yellow River valley regions; Shandong, northern Jiangsu, northern Anhui, and eastern Henan provinces. Commentary Compare to: (1) Several stem cups of the same type, mostly with perforated stems excavated in 1959 at Dawenkou, Tai’an, Shandong province.
