The painting depicts the blue-skinned Hindu god Krishna enthroned on an enclosed outdoor terrace, holding a long white scroll. Kneeling with raised hands in front of him is the poet who has presented the scroll to Krishna. An attendant dressed in an orange robe (jama) stands on the left. This folio most likely belonged to a Bhagavata Purana series produced in the Pahari region of Northern India.
