This shallow bowl has a short cylindrical base and rounded sides. A row of dots circles the outer rim. Inside the bowl is a large line of black script. Above and below the writing are two similar, solid black bird shapes composed of thick swirling lines. Their contours and weight make them look similar to the script. Each bird’s head is close to the rim of the bowl, so one points “up” and the other “down.” The space around the birds and script is white. The area in between is filled in with orange and yellow pigment punctuated with black dots.
