- Description
- Large deep bowl with angled sides, the base flat with a lightly concave center; red earthenware lightly burnished and decorated on the exterior around the lip with a wide band painted in pale brown slip before firing; encrustations from burial. Early Yangshao culture, Banpo type. From the middle Yellow River valley region, Shaanxi province.
