Descriptions Description In the entries for the individual plates in the book, the "titles" have been derived from the texts underlying each plate, printed on the numbered folded sheet that contains each plate. This text, however, often seems to refer to the subsequent plate, and so presumably the reader is supposed to have the plate laid out to the left, revealing the text that anticipates the image to come.
