Descriptions Description The Fogg has almost a complete set of Piranesi's etchings, however, almost all are bound into volumes. Commentary This etching of architectural components from a tomb outside Porta Santa Sebastiano is from volume III of Piranesi's "Le Antichita Romane opera di Giambattista Piranesi architetto veneziano divisa in quarto tomi...(The Antiquities of Rome by Giambattista Piranesi, Venetian architect, divided in four volumes...)," published in Rome in 1756.
